On Sunday April 8, the New York Daily did a special report in their crime file entitled, “New Assault on City’s Gangs”. The article stirred up some controversy. It mostly mentioned the Bloods, Crips and the Latin Kings, but went as far as calling the Zulu Nation a prison gang.
In response Zulu Nation founder, Afrika Bambaata said, “We members of the Universal Zulu Nation are tired of explaining to these demons, who keep pushing misinformation, who are the devils of tricknology, disinformation, gods of chaos, slanderers that we are no gang. We the Universal Zulu Nation of this planet so called Earth are no fools. We have the books on all of you who causes disunity, hardship, character assassinating, etc. We the Universal Zulu Nation stand on right knowledge, right wisdom, right overstanding, and right sound reasoning. We stand with and is back by the supreme force, who is the source of us all.”
He is asking the hip-hop community to speak out on this by sending a letter to the newspaper at www.nydailynews.com or by calling (212) 210-2100.
