Mos Def is eying a summer release date for his fourth album, The Ecstatic.

Mos updated his Myspace by loading two songs from the upcoming album, including “Life In Marvelous Times” and “Quiet Dog Bite Hard.” The former is produced by Mr. Flash; the latter, by Preservation.

The rapper hasn’t released an album since 2006’s Tru3 Magic [click to read], which was released with little to no promotion, and without a CD cover – allegedly at the request of Mos himself.

The album, which hits shelves on June 9 via Downtown Records, coincides with the 10 year anniversary of his critically acclaimed solo debut, Black on Both Sides.
