Philadelphia rapper Freck Billionaire [click to read] has signed on to work with music label Philthy Rich Records. Besides giving him the benefits of a solo artist, the deal, spearheaded by the label’s founder Floyd Mayweather, Jr., [click to read] will make Freck co-CEO, and will give him the opportunity to promote his own label, CBL Entertainment Worldwide.
Although Freck has had multiple run-ins with the law, including being arrested 19 times in less than four years, and an arrest for allegedly selling crack this past March [click to read], Mayweather is excited to have him on the team.
“What [Freck] raps about is what we really living. Because we’re family, we’re one family.“
In addition to signing the deal, Billionaire is also in the process of recording an album with Street Family, a group that will consist of Fabolous [click to read], Red Cafe, Paul Cain, and himself. Their debut album is scheduled for release sometime in early 2009 on the Island Def Jam Music Group.
