Cypress Hill and Beastie Boys musician Eric Bobo also announced that he is releasing his own album, titled Meeting of the Minds.
Tuesday afternoon, the man who was honored with Cypress Hill in Hip Hop Honors‘ video vignette told HipHopDX, “The
direction I wanted to take with was one that brought together
different genres of music under one umbrella, just how Hip Hop fuses
different sounds and influences. With my base musical background of
Latin-Jazz and being exposed to so many genres of music through my
father, Willie Bobo, I knew this album had to bring together that same
concept, which made the title Meeting Of The Minds fit perfectly.”
The album features Thirstin Howl III, Tony Touch and Demigodz. It releases November 18. Stay tuned to HipHopDX where Bobo will premier the single “Apocalypse Now” for free download. To here the album, [click here].
