Last week HHDX reported that Loud Records officially closed it’s doors, leaving its artists free to sign new deals. There is still no word on whether or not the artist are going to be totally released from their current contracts or if they still have an obligation to Sony Music. Sony was the parent company of Loud Records and is also the parent company if Columbia and Epic.

With Xzibit signing with Columbia it could be an indication that he must fulfill his obligation to Sony. Xzibit’s fourth LP entitled “Man vs. Machine,” was given a tentative June release date by Loud a few months ago. No word yet on how this signed will or will not effect the release of the album. Of course, we will keep you posted.
