Grant Park was lit up with ‘Army Bombs ’ (name of the official BTS light stick) as BTS rapper J-Hope made history last Sunday (July 31) as the first South Korean musician to headline the storied Chicago music festival, Lollapalooza.
The music festival’s official ticketing partner, TickPick, tweeted that Sunday’s single-day ticket is the most in-demand on record for the music festival on the platform.

Fans dubbed J-Hope’s performance as #HOBIPALOOZA, a play on the artist’s nickname Hobi and the festival proper. Much to everyone’s surprise and delight, fellow band member Jimin was also in attendance to support J-Hope. An official merchandise store for the rapper was also set up near the concert’s main stage.

J-Hope performed songs from his first solo album, Jack In The Box. He is the first member of the boy group to release an album after the group announced their hiatus last June.
