Lil Baby has revealed that Young Thug and Gunna appear to be in good spirits after visiting the pair at Fulton County Jail on Thursday (July 14).

TMZ approached the platinum-selling rapper outside Reagan National Airport and asked for a status update on his incarcerated YSL friends.

“They doing great, they in good spirits,” Baby said, after he stopped his rapping rendition of Future’s “Back to the Basics.” Check out the video below.

Baby had previously paid a visit to Thugga when he was first jailed back in May, sharing a similar sentiment on social media.

“I talked to @youngthug, He in great spirits,” he tweeted out with a prayer hands emoji.

Thug and Gunna were among the 28 YSL affiliates that were hit with RICO charges in May, with both rappers denied bond multiple times. Judge Wolf declined Thug’s bond request in June because he believed the Punk rapper was a flight risk and agreed with the prosecutor’s concerns that he could potentially commit more felonies if released.

As for Gunna, he appeared virtually for another bail hearing in Fulton County Court earlier in July but was once again denied bond. According toWSB-TV, the 29-year-old Atlanta star must remain in jail until his trial in January 2023. The “pushin p” lyricist has continued to claim his innocence, and on his 29th birthday on June 14 penned an open letter to his social media channels to reaffirm this.

“For now, I don’t have my freedom,” it read in part. “But I am innocent. I am being falsely accused and will never stop fighting to clear my name! The picture being painted of me is ugly and untrue. My fans know I love to celebrate life, I love my family, I love travel, I love music, I love my fans. I have all faith that God will grant me justice for the purity in my heart and the innocence of my actions.”
