Brent Faiyaz has announced in a gritty black and white noir-esque trailer that he’ll soon be dropping a new album.
Titled Wasteland, the R&B crooner included a list of all the features fans can expect to appear on the project. Raphael Saadiq, Alicia Keys, Drake, The Neptunes, The Dream, Mike Dean, Jorja Smith and Tyler, the Creator are but a few of the artists and producers mentioned.
The new project will be Brent’s first offering since his 2020 effort, Fuck The World, which peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard 200. Since then, he’s delivered a few loosies, including “Wasting Time” with Drake and The Neptunes.
He also appeared alongside Tyler, The Creator on their single “Gravity,” and dropped a verse on Baby Keem’s 2021 debut The Melodic Blue as well as Tem’s EP If Orange Was a Place. He’d previously teased Wasteland by dropping off his most recent single “Mercedes,” but he has yet to disclose a release date for the highly-anticipated album.

Still, fans are expecting Wasteland to be filled with toxic anthems. Future and Brent Faiyaz were recently spotted in the studio together with Metro Boomin. “Wow brooo shit getting toxic as hell,” one fan wrote on Metro’s Instagram, while another joked, “Somebody finna get cheated on.”
Aside from working on new tunes, the 26-year-old Maryland singer also starred in a Calvin Klein commercial produced by Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free’s creative company pgLang.
