French Montana’s German Shepherd has cost him a pretty penny.
According to TMZ, French has been ordered by a California judge to cough up nearly $130,000 in damages after his dog, Zane, bit a man named Juan Lomeli during a “vicious attack” a few years back.
Lomeli claims he was working doing his job as a pool boy at Montana’s California estate when Zane sunk his teeth into his arm and wouldn’t let go. He filed a lawsuit against the “Pop That” rapper in 2018 and a California grand jury finally ruled in his favor earlier in May.
Lomeli’s attorney claimed that his injuries kept him out of work for a substantial period following the attack, leaving scars on his arm.

He ended up being awarded $129,500 in total, which comes with a breakdown of $39,500 in economic loss, $60,000 for pain/suffering, and then an additional $30,000 tacked on for “future non-economic loss.”
As for French Montana, who still owns Zane, the Bronx native seemed to be worried about nothin’ during his trip to the 2022 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday (May 15).
A clip of him cozying up next to Anitta went viral. He and the Brazilian singer have been spotted hanging out on different occasions throughout the year.
