Drake has put his acting career on hold since becoming a superstar in music, but that doesn’t mean studios haven’t considered him for big roles.

Character designer Jared Krichevsky — who’s worked on movies such as The Wolverine,The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Wonder Woman — took to Instagram on Sunday (May 1) to reveal Drake was being considered to star as Cyborg a.k.a. Victor Stone in a TV show that never came to fruition, while also sharing concept art of Drizzy in character.

“Cyborg concept for a series that didn’t happen,” he wrote in the caption. “They wanted to cast Drake at one point.”

Ray Fisher recently played Cyborg in the DC Extended Universe films Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,Justice League and Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

As an actor, Drake is best known for his role as James “Jimmy” Brooks in Degrassi: The Next Generation, starring in 100 episodes between 2001 and 2008. During an appearance on the Cal Cast podcast in 2017, Drizzy discussed a potential return to acting.

“Acting is another thing that I just can’t wait to really dive into, I think after I release More Life, which is this playlist I’m working on and finish this tour,” he said at the time. “I think I’m going to really start to position myself in the acting world and, hopefully, take some great roles.”

He continued, “At the end of the day, it’s all about the time you’re willing to put in. And, my biggest fear is always when I’m not doing it, there’s someone else that’s doing it. That’s my biggest fear in life. When I’m not doing it. When I take a night off for my personal life.
