Killer Mike has added another feather to his acting cap courtesy of a cameo in the hit Netflix crime drama Ozark.

In a clip from the series’ upcoming fourth and final season that was released on YouTube on Wednesday (April 27), the Run The Jewels rapper appears as himself in a scene with one of the show’s main characters, Ruth Langmore (played by Julia Garner).

The 90-second teaser begins with Ruth — who has shown herself to be a ’90s Hip Hop aficionado throughout the series — walking up to Killer Mike in a diner and telling him how much she loves his music.

“Oh, I appreciate you. Thank you,” Mike replies graciously before asking Ruth what she’s listening to through her earphones. (Spoiler: Nas‘ “N.Y. State of Mind.”) The pair then bond over the Queensbridge MC’s classic Illmatic track.

“It always feels to me like he hates it and misses it all at once,” Ruth says. “And he’s only fucking 20!” Mike replies, “You know, when I listen to that record, his projects are in Queens and you can kinda see Manhattan, and I always thought it was so hopeful and fucking cool at the same time.”

Killer Mike’s Ozark cameo was first announced last June, with the Atlanta native telling Billboard, “I went from waiting to find out what happens next to being part of it … I’m excited.”

Premiered in 2017, Ozark centers around Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman) and his family who are forced to launder money for a Mexican drug cartel in the Lake of the Ozarks region in Missouri.

Part one of season four debuted in January, with the final seven episodes arriving on Netflix on Friday (April 29). The show and its cast have won several awards, including three Emmys and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

That’s not to say Mike is looking to hang up his mic for good, though. The 47-year-old multi-hyphenate recently announced a new Run The Jewels album is in the works.

“I say this with a smile and a wink — me and El-P were in the studio together,” he told Consequence of Sound. “We may have messed around and started Run The Jewels 5. So we’ll see what happens.”

Killer Mike and El-P are also set to finally embark on the long-delayed Public Service Announcement Tour alongside Rage Against The Machine, which kicks off on July 9 in Wisconsin.
