Fans of the legendary Hip Hop group Little Brother are in for a treat. On Wednesday (March 30), LB member Phonte took to Instagram with a post unleashing the official trailer to May The Lord Watch: The Little Brother Story.

The documentary trailer opens with dialogue from Phonte reflecting on the real story of Little Brother and how they’re finally getting to it. The clip then shows various behind-the-scenes footage from concerts and artists such as Drake and Doja Cat speaking about being Little Brother fanatics.

“Been working on this one for 5 years and calling it an ‘emotional journey’ is a big understatement,” Phonte wrote on Instagram. “Inspired by my big brother @questlove’s Oscar win, here’s the first trailer for May the Lord Watch: The Little Brother Story. 2023. Thank you for listening. #LBbizness #RapPortraits #MTLW.”

Fans will have some time before they can watch May The Lord Watch: The Little Brother Story, which is set to drop in 2023. Phonte confirmed via text message to HipHopDX that the documentary will coincide with the 20th anniversary of the group’s debut album, The Listening. HipHopDX gave the album a 4 out of 5 score in a 2003 review.
