The man who ran on stage and snatched 50 Cent’s chain during a G-Unit performance in the African country of Angola may have met justice—courtesy of pops and moms dukes.
According to an article on the Angola Press’ web site, a young man named Bruno Carvalho was turned into the authorities by his parents on Sunday afternoon. Carlos Mota, superintendent of National Police Analysis, Information and Studies Office thanked the parents for turning Carvalho in, and said he would face criminal charges.
Footage of the incident hit YouTube and circulated through the Internet over the weekend in a homemade video. At the video’s 1:40 mark, a man in a yellow shirt jumps on stage, snatches the chain and jumps offstage. After 50 and his G-Unit cohorts jump offstage to chase the man, details aren’t clear, as the camera is aimed elsewhere.
The incident was briefly addressed on 50’s web site, ThisIs50, but didn’t reveal many details. An article posted by User G-Unit Promotions noted that security at the show was limited, so that fans had more opportunity to interact with the group. The article says that 50 will address this and other rumors through the site later, when he gets a break from filming a new movie.
