Lil Durk had had the Hip Hop community buzzing when he announced he would be dropping his seventh studio album 7220 on February 22, the same day Kanye West was supposed to release Donda 2. Durkio ended up backing out of the showdown by postponing the album to March 11, but it seems like he’s ready for a new challenge.

On Saturday (March 5), the Chicago rapper took to his Instagram with a post regarding his upcoming album and any artist who wants to challenge him on release day. While issuing the challenge, Durk also shouted out the late King Von, whose posthumous album What It Means to Be King moved 65,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.

“I dare a n-gga drop on my date 3/11/22 but anyway von did 65k,” Durk wrote in the caption of his post showing him posing in the studio.

Now, it’s important to note that Lil Durk is currently in the middle of a fiery beef with NBA YoungBoy, with the two rappers throwing shots at each other in recent weeks. YoungBoy might just be taking up Durk on his challenge as one of his producers hinted at the Baton Rouge rapper dropping a new album later this month.

If the two rappers do end up dropping albums on the same day, their respective fanbases will most likely show out for them.
