There’s a lot going on in the world of Kanye West right now. While gearing up for the release of DONDA 2next week, Yeezy is still handling divorce proceedings with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian. According to TMZ on Friday (February 18), Kanye’s legal team objected to Kardashian’s declaration of being ruled legally single.

Now, the objection on Ye’s part isn’t as petty as it may seem on its face. Kanye’s attorneys don’t want her to be ruled legally single before next month’s hearing which will resolve all custody and property issues between the former couple. West isn’t objecting to her being single but wants their assets to remain “marital property” for the time being.

The TMZ report claims the Chicago-bred billionaire is looking for three things: if either of them dies, money is reimbursed, wants to block Kim from moving assets out of their co-trust, a conversation between the two of them or Kim and her future husband if she remarries be allowed for use in court.

While there is a prenup involved, TMZ predicts it’s almost a near certainty that Kim Kardashian will be ruled legally single at next month’s court date.
