Kanye West may be following in the footsteps of Nelly and Usher as the next artist to own a professional sports team. On Thursday (February 10), Donda Sports President and Super Bowl champion Antonio Brown took to his Twitter to announce that Kanye and company are looking to purchase the Denver Broncos of the National Football League.

The Denver Broncos organization is currently looking for a buyer after Pat Bowlen and his family recently announced their plans to sell the team they’ve owned since 1984. ESPN reports if the sale happens, it will likely set the record for the biggest deal in North American sports history as the team is valued at around $4 billion.

“Donda Sports want to buy the @Broncos who with me,” tweeted Brown, who most recently played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before abruptly leaving the team last month. “NFL CALL YE.”

The Denver Broncos has been a hot commodity in Hip Hop circles, especially after JAY-Z was rumored to be buying the team last year. Front Office Sports claimed Hov and Amazon titan Jeff Bezos were in the running, but a source close to the situation refuted reports that the Roc Nation boss was interested in purchasing the franchise.

Kanye West buying the Denver Broncos might not be that farfetched of a proposition. The Chicago rap icon/fashion mogul recently claimed he’s worth $10 billion, although Forbespegged that figure at closer to $1.8 billion last year.

Ye also appears to have his eye on becoming an NBA owner by purchasing his hometown Chicago Bulls. The DONDA rapper appeared alongside Alicia Keys on Fivio Foreign’s new single “City of Gods” on Friday, on which he rapped about buying the Bulls and then meeting with NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan afterwards.

“After I buy the Chicago Bulls I’ma go link with Mike,” Kanye bragged.
