After teasing initial plans in 2019, an XXXTENTACION documentary is finally ready to be shared in 2022. X’s estate announced on Wednesday (February 2) that the official XXXTENTACION film will be premiered at SXSW 2022 in March.
Titled Look At Me after his rumbling 2015 breakout hit, the doc is expected to arrive on Hulu for streaming at some point over the upcoming summer.
“It’s finally here: a film that takes you through the complicated life of a troubled and controversial genius, XXXTENTACION,” the slain Florida rapper’s estate wrote. “LOOK AT ME explores how Florida teenager Jahseh Onfroy became SoundCloud rapper XXXTENTACION, one of the most streamed artists on the planet.
“Through frank commentary from family, friends and romantic partners, and unseen archival footage, director Sabaah Folayan offers a sensitive portrayal of an artist whose acts of violence, raw musical talent and open struggles with mental health left an indelible mark on his generation before his death at the age of 20.”

Fans of the “SAD!” rapper received a treat last week when early favorite “Vice City” was uploaded to streaming services eight years after its 2014 release. The Laura Mvula-sampling track is one of the last to remain on XXXTENTACION’s SoundCloud and landed on his debut XXX (Unmastered) project.
XXXTENTACION was shot and killed outside RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield Park, Florida on June 18, 2018 at just 20 years old. The four Suspects in custody (Dedrick Williams, Trayvon Newsome, Michael Boatwright, and Robert Allen) will remain behind bars through trial.
