Following Rawkus’ switch to Universal, there was a lot of talk that the Kool G Rap may be in jeopardy. Worry no more; Kool G Rap’s new album will be dropping this year after all. The reason for the delay was obviously due to Rawkus’ switch to Universal, which was finalized only two days ago.
G Rap is now recording new cuts for the album, with “Let’s Ride” featuring Jagged Edge being one of those cuts. G Rap hopes to release the new album in the first or second week of April. Expect a bunch of new tracks following the mass bootlegging of the new album late last year.
In related news, G Rap’s wife is set to release her own project in the near future, with Knowbody and Buckwild to contribute in terms of production.
