Cordae’s second studio album, From A Bird’s Eye View, is finally here, and the project had a lot of expectations going for it before its release. Fans have been loving it all over social media and the first-week sales projections are in.

According to HITS Daily Double, Cordae’s FromA Bird’s Eye View is projected to move 21,000 copies, with 2,200 of those being pure album sales. The tally will have Cordae debuting at No. 16 on the Billboard 200 chart. The projections aren’t necessarily mind-blowing for Cordae, especially considering his debut studio album The Lost Boy debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 and moved 25,500 copies in its first week.

Even though the numbers are lower, Cordae is going full speed ahead with promotion for the album. On Tuesday (January 18), Cordae took to his Instagram with a post of him, H.E.R. and Lil Durk filming a music video for their From A Bird’s Eye View collaboration “Chronicles.”

“When yall want the ‘Chronicles’ video,” Cordae asked in the caption of his post.

From A Bird’s Eye View is also getting love at the Australian Open through Cordae’s girlfriend and tennis superstar Naomi Osaka. After beating Camila Osorio in the tournament’s second match on Monday (January 17), Osaka grabbed a marker to sign the camera lens with the letters “FABEV.”

Cordae’s sophomore effort features Lil Wayne, Stevie Wonder, Gunna, Eminem, Lil Durk and others. As the 24-year-old rapper recently told HipHopDX, the album was meant as a candid reflection of his own life.

“[I’ve been] transferring real-life events and experiences that I’ve really have gone through and transmuting them into the music,” Cordae explained. “Each individual song has a certain memory and experience attached to it. [On the song] ‘Momma’s Hood,’ one of my best friends that I used to play basketball with got killed last summer and it happened about a week after he came to L.A. to visit me. And a week after when he went back home, he got killed and that really affected me deeply, y’know?”
