Fabo, of the Atlanta-based group D4L (known for its 2005 hit “Laffy Taffy”), has been cleared of all drug and weapons charges stemming from a February 2, 2006 arrest.
According to the Courier Herald, Fabo was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of methylenedioxymetham, possession
of a firearm during the commission of a crime, carrying a concealed
weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The arrest was made when the rapper’s car was stopped along I-16 in Laurens County.
The district attorney’s office decided not to pursue further prosecution against the rapper, as a result of co-defendant Curtis Alfonso Watkins, Jr. pleading guilty to numerous charges.
Watkins plead guilty to both drug possession charges and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Watkins received 15 years on probation, $3,700 in fines and court and state surcharges.
