Alleged rumors were going around recently that trouble was brewing over at Maybach Music Group. Rick Ross and Meek Mill have apparently been at odds over issues with his deal, but it appears people are making the situation worse than it seems.

On Wednesday (December 9), Rick Ross sat with Billboard Hip Hop editor Carl Lamarre for an intimate conversation, and he shone some light on his situation with Meek. According to Rozay, no matter the issue with him and his artists, he always wishes for them to succeed.

“I feel like we’re both hustlers,” Ross said when asked what’s the status of their relationship. “That’s one thing about life, you either grow together or grow apart. As a boss, you make that decision, because whatever it is you want to do, Ricky Rozay wants to see you do it. There’s a lot of people that didn’t last or was still down with me the way Meek is — so I want to see the homie shine regardless.”

Akademiks got the rumor train started in May when he alleged Meek and Ross were beefing after the Dream Chasers boss blocked his label head from entering his birthday party in Miami, Florida. Meek wants to leave MMG based on reports, but he’s having difficulty doing so.
