A random encounter of a fan meeting Lil Uzi Vert in 2019 could finally lead to him having his tuition paid off come January 2022.
Raheel Ahmad (@BigAssHeel) is now inviting Uzi to join him at his Temple University graduation next month to cheer him on as he walks across the stage to receive his degree in political science.
Ahmad met the Philly rapper at Pennsylvania’s King of Prussia mall in August of 2019 and Uzi promised to pay off his $90,000 tuition bill if he held up his end of the bargain and graduated with a bachelor’s degree.
“The time has finally come,” Raheel said in an Instagram video on Monday (December 6). “I’ve made it through the four years at Temple, graduating with a 3.5 GPA. I’m sure you all remember this video of me asking Lil Uzi Vert at the mall if he could help pay for my college tuition.
“I come from a big family and was raised by a single, widowed mother. Finances were always a struggle. After my dad passed away, we had to live paycheck to paycheck.”

Lil Uzi Vert still hasn’t forgotten about his offer as he brought up in January how he was waiting for Raheel to graduate with some proof before forking over the cash.
I told him he has to graduate why would I pay and you didn’t finish. 💯

Raheel is looking for Uzi to attend the January 26 graduation and then even go out to dinner with him and his family and maybe stay for a night of partying to celebrate around the Temple campus.
“You may not know this, Uzi, but the day that we met at King of Prussia mall on August 22nd, 2019, I was not in a good place mentally,” Raheel added. “But our one-minute interaction changed my life for the better. You have given me a sense of hope and optimism.”
Uzi is yet to respond to Raheel’s invitation on social media.
