VTEN finally unveiled the music video for his highly anticipated single, “GALLI SADAK” (Street).
Co-directed by VTEN and James Lama, the loaded visual features people dressed up in white robes and hoods—symbols of the American white supremacy terrorist hate group Ku Klux Klan, not to mention the burning cross—and the police pointing their guns at VTEN and three others.
VTEN is no stranger to encounters with the police. All three of his singles this year, including “GALLI SADAK,” allude to his personal experience with the authorities because of his music.
In September, VICE Asia released an interview with the Nepali hip hop star. He shared details about his 2019 arrest, including the police “trying to trespass” into his home and “forcefully” telling him to delete his email. He was subsequently released from custody after he took to Instagram for help.

“They considered me a thug,” he went on. “The police took offense at me dressing in their uniform and rolling a spliff,” he said. VTEN explained that it was for a music video and that he was rolling tobacco from cigarettes, not weed.

The Kathmandu rapper thanked his fans for “always supporting my dreams.” He wrote, “You guys are the Real OGs.”
“GALLI SADAK” follows “CRMNL” from May and “CENNSSORDDDD” in February.
