Summer Walker‘s new album Still On It is scheduled to be released on November 5, and fans can’t wait to get their hands on new music from the R&B songstress. In fact, people in New York City can try their luck at getting the album early.
On Sunday (October 17), Summer Walker took to her Instagram to announce fans in the Big Apple have the chance to hear Still Over It ahead of time if they manage to break through a glass container holding the hard drive with the new album on it.

Footage circulating on social media show fans heading to various locations across Manhattan on Monday (October 18) trying to free the hard drive from its glass prison. Most people who participated in the challenge failed, except for one gentleman who managed to pop the top of the glass container in Harlem.
“Uhh ooo NYC you came with the timbs and black forces energy!!” read the post on an Instagram page dedicated to Summer Walker’s hard drive. “somebody broke the case and got me.. they’ll have an early listen to #STILLOVERIT.”
The fan couldn’t go home with Summer Walker’s new album, however. Instead, he was invited to hear it at a studio in NYC. The guy shared an Instagram Story of himself and some friends listening to the new tunes inside the studio.
Summer Walker has released just the one single from Still Over It so far, teaming up with City Girls’ JT on “Ex For a Reason.” SZA, Lil Durk, Ari Lennox are also set to appear on the forthcoming album.
Speaking of SZA, rumors began swirling last week that her long-awaited CTRL follow-up will also touch down on November 5, the same day as Summer Walker’s new LP. However, the TDE songstress took to Twitter to personally shut down the speculation.
“I jus wanna know y y’all think i would drop same time as summer and I’m ON her album,” she tweeted in response to a fan asking her about the rumor. “like wut.”
