Filipino singer-rapper Curtismith shares MUSEO, his first music project under Pool Records, the newly established independent record by King Puentespina, a.k.a. crwn.

The 10-track album was initially launched via an eponymous multi-sensory exhibition in partnership with Pintô Art Museum, fusing visual arts and music to “[provide] an optical accompaniment to the aural experience evoked by the tracks.” The exhibition feature work by Candice Arellano, Argie Bandoy, Anna Bautista, Ranelle Dial, Sandra Fabie-Gfeller, Dex Fernandez, Auggie Fontanilla, Romeo Lee, Ferdie Montemayor, Bea Nazareno, Jono Pisano, King Puentespina, Pogs Samson, Duane Villanueva, Reg Yuson, Jeona Zulueta, and Cris Villanueva Jr. The exhibition ran from July 12 to 25.

MUSEO signals a more defined, understated elegance to the rapper’s new artistic direction, much of which is owed to the style long cultivated by crwn himself, whom Curtismith collaborated with multiple times in the past, including non-album single “LDR.” Tracks such as lead single “downtown as fruits” and “backinthebiz” glide towards house music territory, while “iamnotyourbootycall” is starkly indebted to early 2000’s R&B.
