After recent rumors sprung up about the G-Unit clothing line shutting down, representatives shut down the notion quickly.

“They aren’t shutting down,” said a source Wednesday. “They may be
leaving their partner, but the G-Unit brand is a base business of $75
million dollars annually.”

The representatives did not, however, deny the reports that a round of layoffs could occur in the company as early as next week.

G-Unit Clothing was established in 2003, when 50 Cent teamed up with Marc Ecko to create the line of clothing and accessories. Ecko’s company, Marc Ecko Enterprises, owns 50% of the brand.
