Super Bowl XLII was undoubtedly a memorable game, with the New York Giants inching out the New England Patriots in the final quarter of the game for a 17-14 victory.
Many viewers admittedly watch the most televised event of the year for its fanfare – musical performances and commercials. This year featured Hip Hop commercials including the music of Salt N’ Peppa (with a dancing “Donkey Lips” of Salute Your Shorts fame), as well as a commercial from Pepsi MAX featuring Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes and LL Cool J (who was in Arizona at the game).
Other highlights included a T-Mobile effort with Charles Barkley and Dwayne Wade, playing a one-sided relationship with unlimited talk time, a strip-teasing racecar driver Danica Patrick for GoDaddy.com and a compelling rags to riches story, with a punchline from the end by the Houston Texans for the NFL.
