Tekashi 6ix9ine has been in Chicago for most of the week and, just like his trip to Los Angeles, he’s catching the attention of local rappers. On Friday (August 28), the polarizing artist headed to Chi-Town’s O Block to “pay his respects” to Lil Durk’s cousin OFT Nunu who was recently killed.
In response, Durk pulled a power move and decided to jack 6ix9ine’s album release date.
Just an hour after 6ix9ine shared his stunt on Instagram, Durk — who recently dissed 6ix9ine on the Drake single “Laugh Now Cry Later”— rolled through with an Instagram post of his own, announcing his forthcoming album would arrive on September 4, the same day 6ix9ine is expected to drop his sophomore album Tattle Tales.
6ix9ine recently admitted he was being as disrespectful as possible to show his haters he can freely move around the country without any repercussions. His most recent antic involved flowers and 6ix9ine on his knees praying for Durk’s cousin while promoting his album.

“CAME TO OBLOCK .. came to pay my respect to @lildurk cousin nuski who was killed by gun violence,” he wrote in the caption. “we need to change as a community. #RIP NUSKI PRE ORDER THE ALBUM LINK IN MY BIO SEPTEMBER 4TH.”
6ix9ine’s visit to the Windy City also attracted the ire of Lil Reese and King Von. In retaliation, 6ix9ine ended up sharing an incredibly embarrassing video of Reese with his 24.3 million Instagram followers.
In the since-deleted clip, Reese is being pummeled on the ground by a couple of men who are screaming “Lil Reese shit on himself” and laughing hysterically. 6ix9ine wrote in the caption, “GO PRE ORDER THE ALBUM LINK IN MY BIO.”
