Fresh off of netting BET’s Viewer’s Choice Award for “Stuntin’ Like My Daddy,” and announcing his participation in the reality series Making The Next Hit, Lil’ Wayne announced that fans will get to hear tracks from Tha Carter 3 before 2008 after all. Last weekend the Cash Money Records President and marquee artist released a YouTube clip which gave the status of the new material and his label’s plans for the next year.

“What you will be receiving for Tha Carter 3 is a new mixtape by me with all of the leaked songs. It’s free and I’m gonna’ call it ‘The Leak.’ It’s free and you can have it,” said Wayne. “Y’all caught me red-handed. I must take better care of my things, and I will.”

Wayne plans to re-record new material for Tha Carter 3, which is still slated for a 2008 release. In the meantime, Wayne and Diplomats member Juelz Santana are “working on the paperwork” for their collaboration album I Can’t Feel My Face, which Wayne announces will have a single released before the end of June.

Wayne also announced that new solo albums from Birdman and a Young Money Entertainment compilation are also on the way.
