HipHopDX Premiere

Burgeoning singer/rapper LIV unveiled her aptly titled Black Girl Unbothered EP earlier this month.

The 7-track effort spotlights a wide array of musical styles, including Hip Hop and soul-infused grooves.

Now, the Tacoma, Washington native has returned with a visual for “Want You Bad Part 1 & 2,” an ode to love and warm, summer nights.

“’Want You Bad Part 1 &2’” started off as a jam in the studio,” LIV tells HipHopDX. “I wanted something that was about love but was more so chill and confident with a little bit of braggadocios delivery. I imagined the sort of confidence you would hope to exude on a first date.

“You want to woo the person but do it without doing too much. When thinking about the video concept, I wanted just that. I’m talking with a friend about a girl that I’m interested in and I don’t want to do too much. I just want us to cruise together, have her able to see who I am without going over-the-top but still know that I’m the best choice.”
