There are a thousand reasons why Slim 400 should thank his lucky stars. The YG affiliate was shot nine times late last month as he was hanging out in Compton and rushed into surgery at St. Francis Medical Center where surgeons were able to save his life.
In a recent Instagram post, Slim joked he’s most grateful his attackers used cheap bullets. On Wednesday (July 10), the CPT-based artist shared a photo of himself laying in his hospital bed and expressed his gratitude. He also promised the hospital staff free Roscoe’s or Taco Mell Catering for the rest of their lives.

Slim was moved from the ICU floor to a regular floor on Monday (July 8). He’s still in rough shape but clearly improving.

As of publication time, police have yet to identify a suspect. On the night of the shooting, multiple masked gunmen allegedly opened fire on Slim from a moving vehicle. When they realized they hadn’t killed him, they jumped out of the black car and attempted to finish him off.
