Justin Bieber has been vocal on social media lately regarding his fellow artists. Shortly after shaming Eminem for going after the younger generation of rappers on the song “The Ringer,” Biebs is back with an opinion on Chris Brown.
In another Instagram post, he equated the controversial R&B singer to a combination of Michael Jackson and Tupac Shakur.
In the caption, the pop star predicted fans of Brown would be saying the same thing once he’s no longer on this earth.
“everyone wants to wait til people die To give them the credit they deserve,” he said. “I’m calling it now when CB passes away after a long full life, you will miss what you had in front of you the whole time … trust me watch you will see.
“the people who have over looked this mans talent because of a mistake he made.. you need to reevaluate! Love you @chrisbrownofficial.”
Despite Brown’s sordid past involving women, Biebs evidently looks to Brown as one of his musical heroes.
Biebs actually has it backwards.
Go to wiki and look at the ratings for his albums from an array of different outlets.
Then go listen to a few songs that weren’t on the radio.
There’s nothing original or ballsy in his music at all. To be honest, I was always under the impression he was some tortured R&B genius who could have used some guidance. Just ain’t the case. I did my best to not sound like a hater there, you just have to question why he’s everywhere we look in the media.
Man, no knock on biebs or Chris brown but anybody that really knows about Pac, knows he stood for more than his antics and the sideshow that was portrayed in the media. Pac was bigger than rap! Thug life, which is usually shown when it comes to Pac was a small part of what homie was about and so was his talent. Pac’s person was one of a kind. I honestly don’t know what Chris Brown stands for…once again that isn’t a knock on homie…In regards to the Mj comparison…Breezy is crazy talented and he works hard so I feel where the biebs is coming from on the comparison a little better but tbh, I haven’t seen another artist have the cultural impact mj had from the booth, to the moves, to the movies, to physical album sells (for the youngins, people waiting in lines just like for the iPhone but for an album) he was a different breed all together. Maybe Beyoncé but she is still working and Breezy is still creating his legacy, maybe in another 10 – 20 years we will know how defined Breezy’s legacy is.
Bruh that was a very respectful passage, and I admire you for not disrespecting anyone there. But I’ll say what you’re thinking, there’s no way CB can step in the shoes of mike or pac…period…haaaaa. But no doubt, he’s a hard worker and his career has been tarnished by mistakes and the media coverage of it…I hope he continues to deliver also….
well back in their day who the fuck else was there to be in their place? r. Kelly? usher? where the fuck is usher?
wyclef jean? snoop dogg? snoop dogg? snoop dogg has a gimmick still going for him. he just lights up a lot of weed. the police don’t harass him all that much either.
I agree to an extent, and have a ton of love for Tupac, but Tupac, above all, was an actor and poet. He was smart, but was a very hypocritical man. His whole life was hypocritical and ironic.
U delete a comment because it said beiber is irrelevant in hiphop?
There will never be another MJ, period. His body of work is unparalleled and his ghost is apparent in almost every up and coming R&B act. Chris Brown is more akin to Bobby Brown if anything, and a Chris Brown/Tupac comparison can’t even be made from a purely musical perspective. Some artists flat out have no equal, word to James Brown.
Mike and 2pac stood for something. Chris just make pop and club music.
he means a paedophile + a rapist = a domestic abuse perpetrator
Interesting equation Justin (Violence=Violence=Violence) None of these guys have anything to do with each other except violence. I understand what your trying to do achieve forgiveness but in the end its not up to you for them to have forgiveness. That’s up to the victims, and in your case you believe in Jesus so Jesus will have the final say. You can’t change the world- your going to be disappointed when you try to do this and you finally come to terms that its not possible. No matter who you are you can’t change the world. Look in the bible it clearly states “that the world is damaged and none fixable”) You can make a difference “Yes”. You can have forgiveness “Yes”. and You can have faith “Yes” and so on.
As for Eminem he is not really dissing your generation friends rappers he’s just saying his rap is better. But I kind of see your dissing him actually by saying “that he doesn’t understand modern rap”. That’s kind of telling a boss he no longer knows his trade Justin. I thought that was real mean actually. Eminem is in his 40’s and he’s still on top leave him alone he knows what he’s doing. Plus this is all opinion Justin
You lost me bruh.
#1 rule of Public Speaking: KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE.
Your just a human mate get the uf down from your high chair soap box bullshit spouting twit
If you didn’t right that drivel whilst intoxicated or with drugs in the system, then you really have got a lot of issues pal.
No. But now if the internet says it’s so then it’s true I guess.
Chris Brown had the chance to become the next Michael Jackson but squandered the legend status.
But he is rich AF and extremely successful so who am I to judge.
No one is the next michael jackson!
Whoa. I feel him on this. And the comparison…Bieber been sipping that wisdom lately for real lol!
Twat
well, if chris brown is still putting out billboard charting hits, then yes. there are other rappers out there all the time looking for no#1. brown is about twenty years deep almost. there are others who have come along for the ride. idk, just hard to say.
Except for the fact Brown is predominantly a singer first and foremost and not a rapper. And when he does try and go down that route, he’s utterly dreadful.
While I kinda agree with him saying we don’t appreciate until they are gone. I don’t agree with him comparing CB to Michael Jackson. Mj was special musically . He had a very good ear for a hit. CB isn’t on that level. Although I rate him and I’m not one to keep hitting him with the Rihanna thing
Nearly 2 million people liked that post.
You’ve got to be a special kind of dummy to compare an artist to two sonically, aesthically different artists completely
True indeed…but I’m not certain it was meant im a literal sense, as much as figuratively: that he was as artistically talented (HIGHLY debatable, but his comment, not mine) as Michael Jackson and that he was as (re- earlier parenthetical note) as grounded, respected and “real” (and as somewhat legally troubled) as Pac. Only explanation I can give for it.
I can tell you this. Bieber and CB started in their early teens. If both were that age in the early 90s, they both would be spreading their cheeks in MJ’s Neverland master bedroom.
a pedo + a mainstream rapper who sold his soul = a domestic abuser
Hmm maybe he is lets see thrilled with beating women? Theres him and 2pac and he seems to be a little boy trapped in a mans body theres michael jackson this guys a piece of shit
Absolute and utter bs. Jackson was THE biggest pop star in the world for years. Tupac was right at the front of hip hop for a number of years before his early demise. Chris Brown was hot for a couple of years max – he’s NOWHERE NEAR the level of legendary, nor will he ever be.
Also – why you posting more nonsense Bieber articles? Y’all have well and truly lost your mind if you think this article belongs on a hip hop site. Seen it’s the same person who posted the other Bieber article who posted this. Girl – you shouldn’t be working on this site if this is your contribution.
Shame on you for plugging such complete and utter drivel.
LOL… you guys are lame! Beiber! Not someone who is relevant in the Hip hop world made a comment like this and you guys are all over here writing paragraphs! lol… Im sure it was just an on the cuff remark, and you all are losing sleep over it! SMH
Nobody is losing sleep over it, fool.
Just saying how utterly lame it is that an article on a pop star, commenting on an r&b star, is appearing on what is (supposedly) a hip hop site.
Quite why you’re advocating this bs is beyond me, but what the hey.
