SZA’s celebrity status apparently didn’t stop one Sephora employee from racially profiling the Top Dawg Entertainment singer. On Tuesday (April 30), the Oscar-nominated artist detailed an incident that allegedly occurred at a Calabasas location of the cosmetics retailer.
“Lmao Sandy Sephora location 614 Calabasas called security to make sure I wasn’t stealing,” SZA wrote via Twitter. “We had a long talk. U have a blessed day Sandy.”
She added, “Can a bitch cop her fenty in peace er whut.”
In an ironic twist of fate, SZA actually worked at Sephora prior to her rise to fame. She spoke about her time working for the retailer’s skin-care department in a 2018 interview with Refinery29.
