Attendees were treated to a roundtable discussion from Chicago’s cultural leaders, Jamila Woods, Don C, Lil Rel, Justin Cunningham and Lupe Fiasco. The forum was moderated by local radio personality and DJ, Kendra G.
DJ sets from Sahar Habibi and Twilight Tone were also featured in between performances.
On-site activities and experiences included a slam poetry artist showcase from Young Chicago Authors, exclusive goods created by Joe Freshgoods and a graffiti wall hosted by The Graffiti Institute.
The on-going event is a part of AT&T’s “Codes of Culture” series in which the company plans to highlight a specific area code that coincides with a day of the month.
