Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s allyship to the LGBTQ community will be recognized at the 30th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles.

GLAAD has announced The Carters — whose EVERYTHING IS LOVE album earned a perfect score from HipHopDX — as the recipients of the 2019 Vanguard Award, which is awarded to “allies who have made a significant difference in promoting acceptance of LGBTQ people.”

Previous Vanguard Award winners include Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Cher, Antonio Banderas and Whoopi Goldberg.

“Beyoncé and JAY-Z are global icons and passionate defenders of human rights and acceptance for all people,” GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis said in a press statement. “When Beyoncé and JAY-Z speak, the world becomes inspired and when it comes to LGBTQ people, their voices of acceptance have been heard loud and clear.

“We could not be prouder to stand with them to send a message of love during the biggest LGBTQ event in the world and to honor their work to bend the arc of justice forward for LGBTQ people, people of color, and marginalized communities everywhere.”

Last year, JAY-Z was honored by GLAAD when he received the Special Recognition Award for his 4:44 album cut and video “Smile.” The track features a spoken word outro by his mother Gloria Carter, who publicly came out as a lesbian via the song.
