Celebrity jewelry maker Ben Baller recently crafted Kid Cudi a custom diamond-encrusted, BAPE-inspired Milo pendant to celebrate the recording artist’s birthday.
Social media was in awe on Friday (March 8) after an Instagram video surfaced of the extremely happy Mr. Rager showing off his brand new multicolored, iced-out necklace.
Cudi, who turned 35 on January 30, treated himself to the $275,000 custom piece to celebrate another revolution around the sun. Baller has already crafted exotic jewelry for Migos, 2 Chainz, Tyler The Creator and Lil Uzi Vert.
“LOVE TO THE MOTHAFUCKIN HOMIE BEN BALLER FOR MAKIN THIS EPIC CUSTOM PIECE FOR ME!!” Cudi wrote on Instagram.

Inspired by the 1993 art of BAPE creator Nigo, the new piece resembles Cudi’s Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon album cover.
The pendant is dripped with black, white, cognac, canary and blue diamonds, and is accompanied by pink sapphires and red rubies eyes, complementing its 18K-rose gold base. It’s also set with a custom, multicolored BAPE camo puffy link chain with white, canary and blue diamonds.
It came engraved with Cudi’s General Cud moniker on the back alongside Baller’s IF & Co. company logos.
In one of his Instagram Stories, the 46-year-old jeweler revealed the Cudi creation was a two-month process.

“I been quiet for 2 months,” he explained. “I just finished making Kid Cudi the hardest fucking chain of 2019 period. Gallery/exhibit jewelry, not that bullshit you see on Instagram that’s co-signed by nobody.”
Cudi is currently working on a new album and will be this year’s headliner at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami.
