Kanye West assured his fans he was done with politics last October. But as 2019 gets underway, it looks like ‘Ye is back to familiar behavior. On Tuesday (January 1), the G.O.O.D. Music boss sent out a flurry of tweets reaffirming his alignment with Trump and made it clear his MAGA hat will rear its ugly head soon.
“One of my favorite of many things about what the Trump hat represents to me is that people can’t tell me what to do because I’m black,” he wrote. “From now on I’m performing with my mutherfucking hat on. Trump all day.”
Kanye’s unwavering support for the current POTUS led him to the The White House in October, where he doubled down on his suggestion to abolish the 13th Amendment, spouted off about mental health and compared his MAGA hat to a “Superman cape.”
It ended with an awkward hug between the two and Kanye telling Trump he loved him.

In September, ‘Ye was accused of holding the SNL cast “hostage” as he spewed his pro-Trump rhetoric.
However, following seemingly endless backlash from fans and peers alike, Kanye insisted his political days were behind him.
“My eyes are now wide open and now realize I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in,” he tweeted in October. “I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative !!!”
Evidently, that thought was fleeting. [apple_news_ad type=”any”]
