Trick Daddy came to Kodak Black’s defense after a recent interview with Ebro Darden and Peter Rosenberg went south. While chopping it up on Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning, Darden brought up the sexual assault allegations the 21-year-old is currently facing.
Rather than continue the conversation, Kodak stormed out and punctuated his exit with a “fuck you.” Kodak is expected to go to trial next April and likely isn’t allowed to discuss his legal matters publicly.
Trick Daddy clearly felt a certain type of way about the ordeal and delivered a message to Ebro via Instagram on Thursday (December 13).
“Man, what’s up with you police ass niggas,” he says. “Let me tell you radio niggas somethin’. Y’all getting out of line. Ebro, disrespecting the homie. You tried a young nigga. Kodak my little nigga. If nobody gonna step up, I’m gonna step up. I want smoke.
“You get on the radio, you supposed to be an older nigga. You supposed to lead these niggas not into temptation. You supposed to get these niggas and put ’em under your wing and teach them the right from wrong.”
The rap vet then accuses Ebro of trying to imitate Charlamagne Tha God.
“But with your bitch ass, you tryin’ to be a fake ass Charlamagne,” he continues. “There’s only one Charlmagne Tha God, pussy. Keep Kodak name out your mouth and stop bringing up shit the little homie cannot talk about on the radio bitch ass nigga and watch your muthafuckin’ mouth. Don’t disrespect no nigga from around my way unless you want smoke. Matter of fact, I want smoke bitch ass nigga. That go for Ebro and any mutha fucka who don’t like it.”
Kodak was accused of raping a woman in 2016 at a Comfort Inn & Suites in Florence, South Carolina. As Ebro expressed during the interview, he and his fellow co-hosts take sexual assault seriously and he was hoping to open a dialogue if not then, sometime in the future.
I can respect it. Yeah Kodak might not of done the correct things in life but the dude is 19-20 years old and for Ebro to come at him like that shows what kind of man he is. Trick keep yo foot on these radio dudes necks

i honestly dont see anything wrong here on ebro’s end…. in all honesty… Kodak needs to man up and take some etiquette classes to learn how to conduct his interview(s) as a responsible artist…. Ebro did not say anything out of line….. Kodak’s decision to act as an offended child was all on him. That has absolutely nothing to do with Ebro. If Kodak wasn’t out here acting like an irresponsible person we wouldn’t come to parts of an interview like this, where his outburst is handled so unprofessional, would we?

I wasn’t gonna say anything about this but idk if y’all know this or not but often, when a celebrity is doing an interview, their manager or whoever would give the host topics beforehand that they don’t want to speak about. To me, it looks like hot 97 had these topics and Ebro just threw the list out of the window.

I was siding with Ebro when I read this, but after watching the interview I can see why Kodak and Trick Daddy are upset. As someone below in the comments pointed out, usually when setting up an interview the guest will be given at least a general idea of the topics that will be discussed. The way this interview was handled, it seemed like they veered too quickly into the subject possibly throwing him off guard. One second they were praising him and his output and all of a sudden they turned on him. I have no idea or opinion on if he is guilty or not, but when dealing with something this sensitive I imagine you wouldn’t want to improvise statements on a national broadcast. By remaining silent, people may interpret it as guilt. Either way he loses.
