DJ Scratch hit Instagram on Sunday (November 18) and casually asked fellow Hip Hop vet Large Professor for some new music from Main Source, Large Pro’s former group with Toronto producers/DJs K-Cut and Sir Scratch. The answer he got probably surprised him.
To the delight of Main Source fans, Large Pro replied the group was already planning to produce the long-awaited follow-up to 1994’s Fuck What You Think.
“We’re going to Cali to record top of #New Year,” Pro wrote. “You know I personally (on behalf of the group) would love for You to be a part of it #GrandMaster. If the original would’ve went according to plan @Tragedy252 @RakimtheGoat and a bunch of others would’ve been part.
“You Know, #Schedule sht. Hopefully everyone is at a great place in life now and we can all rep for the #OriginalRecipe #HipHop we all Know and #Love #AroundtheWorld #Respect.”

The group reunited at the top of the year to celebrate the 25th anniversary reissue of Breaking Atoms. The trio’s seminal album featured a then-unknown Nas and Joe Fatayl, among others.
