Tekashi 6ix9ine’sDummy Boy won’t be dropping on Friday (November 23). The currently incarcerated rapper’s project has been delayed following his arrest and indictment for racketeering charges.
DJ Akademiks, who has become an insider when it comes to the career of 6ix9ine, was the first to report the delay. 6ix9ine’s team confirmed the news via Instagram.
“Due to circumstances beyond our control we have postponed the release of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s ‘DUMMY BOY’ until further notice,” the post reads.
6ix9ine and other alleged members of Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods were arrested on Sunday (November 18). He has been put in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center and awaits a bail hearing.

The polarizing artist and members of his crew are facing possible life sentences in the RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization) case. The indictment against them lists 17 counts dating back to 2013, alleging crimes such as drug deals, armed robberies and shootings.

The law may finally be catching up to Tekashi 6ix9ine, but his arrest for racketeering isn’t preventing him from promoting new music. The controversial artist has continued the rollout for his Dummy Boy project by unveiling its tracklist.
6ix9ine posted the tracklist on Instagram, revealing collaborations with Kanye West and Nicki Minaj. Other notable guests on the 13-track project include A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Tory Lanez, Gunna, Lil Baby and the incarcerated Bobby Shmurda.

Tekashi 6ix9ine didn’t wait long to begin the rollout for his newly announced project. Hours after revealing plans for a new release due out on November 23, the rainbow color-haired artist shared its title and cover art via Instagram.
“DUMMY BOY,” he wrote. “OFFICIAL COVER COMMENT IF YOU READY FOR THIS PROJECT WATCH ME OUTSELL EVEYBODY SUCK MY DICK NOVEMBER 23RD ‼️ NOVEMBER 23RD ‼️ NOVEMBER 23RD.”

Tekashi 6ix9ine is bringing new music to the table for Thanksgiving week. The polarizing rapper has announced plans to drop a new project on November 23.
6ix9ine revealed the release date in an Instagram post featuring a clip of himself alongside producer Scott Storch.
“I CANT STOP MAKING HITS,” he wrote in the caption. “YESTERDAY I GOT IN THE STUDIO AND I SAID ‘YOU KNOW WHAT’ IM PUTTIN OUT A PROJECT NOVEMBER 23RD ‼️‼️‼️ NOVEMBER 23 ‼️ IS THE DAY NOTHING BUT FUCKING BILLBOARD HITS ‼️.”
6ix9ine’s untitled project will be his first release since his breakthrough debut DAY69, which dropped in February. The mixtape peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold by the RIAA in May.

In the months following DAY69’s arrival, 6ix9ine has kept busy with collaborations and singles such as the Nicki Minaj-assisted “FEFE.” Most recently, he dropped a track titled “STOOPID” featuring the incarcerated Bobby Shmurda.
