Jazz and conscious rap fans of August Greene (Common, Robert Glasper, and Karriem Riggins) have been given all but thought-provoking music from the reputable trio.

Their debut single “Optimistic” featuring Brandy covers the 1991 contemporary gospel hit song of the same title, and now they’ve enhanced its danceability with the song’s remix.

The “Optimistic (Remix)” has upped the ante with God’s Property maestro Kirk Franklin, gospel singer Kierra Sheard, and BJ The Chicago Kid. The uptempo two-step vibe is worthy of a Saturday night party, with positive Christian messaging that echoes a Sunday morning church sermon. You can listen to the remix in the Soundcloud link above.
