Despite numerous posts that Lil Wayne has started promo for his long-awaited album Tha Carter V, it turns out someone simply knows their way around Photoshop.
On Wednesday (July 11), several tweets began infiltrating the web showing a giant billboard in Los Angeles with the words: “The F Is For Five.”
The word “Five” is written in red and the “V” is emphasized to make it look like the Roman numeral.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered the photo was pulled from a 2016 campaign promoting Postmates, a logistics company that specializes in local deliveries.

Tha Carter Vhas been held up for years due to label issues, but Wayne previously claimed he can release the album at will. Last month, he told the audience at Miami’s Story nightclub he had a meeting to discuss a potential release date for the project.
“Just to let y’all know I had a meeting today,” he said. “It wasn’t a long meeting. Just so y’all know, the meeting was about the release date of Tha Carter fucking V.”
Some people have started to catch on to the fake ad but others have run with it.
Wayne’s camp has yet to respond to the viral tweet. [apple_news_ad type=”any”]
