After being shot 13 times during a robbery early this month, DJ CarlBlaze, passed away in a Harlem Hospital Saturday.
The popular DJ was shot December 7th in Manhattan’s Inwood section
at an apartment building on Academy Street and was robbed of a $20,000

had been a DJ with Power 105.1 for roughly three years but also gained
a majority of his fan base from spinning at local hot spots in New York on Fridays and Saturdays before he joined the Clear Channel station.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time,” said JosefaPaganuzzi, a Clear Channel spokeswoman.

Police say Blaze’s white metal diamond chain with the initials C.B. was missing when officers arrived at the scene.
No arrests have been made in the case but police say the investigation is ongoing.
Rivera was 30 years old, married and leaves behind two children.
