Migos Has “No Hard Feelings” Toward Joe Budden

“Old Man” Ebro of Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning headed down to Atlanta earlier this month to chop it up with Migos for Beats 1 Radio. In Part 1 of the interview, Quavo, Takeoff and Offset opened up about their perceived beef with Joe Budden, which kicked off last June during the BET Awards in a now-infamous red carpet interview.

After joking that Budden owes them for a piece of his success, Takeoff makes a comment about the former Everyday Struggle host not wanting to see them “win.” Offset adds, “I just think he too deep in Hip Hop. I don’t think it’s that — He too deep in.”

Quavo has a different take and says, “I think he want to see the game win. He a’ight. He know we coming with that flame. You know what I’m saying. No hard feeling with Joe. We just can’t be no Joe Budden. Ya feel me?”

Elsewhere in the conversation, the Atlanta super trio touched on what it was like working with N.E.R.D mastermind Pharrell Williams on their new collaborative track “Stir Fry.”

“We was in the studio in LA — he was in the next room — I think we were still working on Culture II but we’ve been running into each other,” Quavo explains. “We been — you know what I’m sayin’— cool but, he was over there working and we just stepped in because if anybody — we just walk in everybody’s sessions and just — it’s love and go to work. And he had like three or four beats, but the pack was from 2008! Like the old hard drive, he had the old pack. He said he was waiting on this moment, so [laugh].”

As Migos prepares to drop the highly anticipated Culture II next week, it’s clear they’re on a roll. Despite the recent backlash from Offset’s “I cannot vibe with queers” line on YFN Lucci’s “Boss Life,” the trio is basking in its position among the upper echelon of music artists.

      1. Stop pretending that gay people are everywhere bro. 2 -5 % of the population isn’t a lot. It’s a natural human reaction to treat the unknown with fear or distaste. It may be a natural thing, but for a very small percent of the population. T.V isn’t real life bro, gay people aren’t everywhere and it’s not a trait that humans are supposed to have, it’s basically a genetic mutation. We’re designed to reproduce, gay people can’t do that.

Be realistic people, I’m not saying shit on gay people, I’m saying it’s not as normal or pervasive thing as people think.

        1. “It’s a natural human reaction to treat the unknown with fear or distaste.” You mean like racism?? Racism is okay now?? SMFH!!!! And LGBT Community makes 4% of the US Population. That isnt a lot?? Only 2% more is the Population of Black males in America. So its doesnt matter how black males feel? They dont matter because the only 6%? GTFOH

          1. You clearly don’t understand my argument and are very triggered. Where did I say homophobia was okay? I said the opposite, I was presenting reasons why it’s a natural human reaction.
Why didn’t you include all blacks instead of black males? The data fit your argument better so you manipulated it.
And yes, racism does occur because of the fear of the unknown. So no, racism and homophobia aren’t okay, but you should be able to understand that there’s a reason they exist based on human psychology.

            1. I voted Democrat moron, people that can’t understand nuanced issues and care more about not hurting people’s feelings than the facts won Trump the election. People like you that probably didn’t vote or voted third party and now hate themselves. Good luck with your psychology degree with a minor in gender studies.

    1. It’s hard to like talentless rappers even if they’re winning “for the culture.” #StopSupportingWackShit
