Eminem’s Battle Rap Film “Bodied” Acquired By YouTube

The Eminem-produced film Bodied, a satire about battle rap, has secured a home. YouTube has picked up the movie for its YouTube Red subscription service, according to Variety.

Although the film is destined to become part of the YouTube Red catalog in 2018, it will get a theatrical release. YouTube is holding a special screening of the movie on Sunday (January 21) at the Sundance Film Festival.

Bodied, which is directed by Joseph Kahn, has been well received on the festival circuit. Former battle rapper Alex Larsen a.k.a. Kid Twist penned the screenplay, lending it credibility. The cast also includes well-known battlers Dizaster, Loaded Lux, Hollow Da Don and Dumbfoundead.

    1. So Youtube Red is basically another Netflix or Hulu type service that releases its own original content? How many of those services are there now? You’ve got Amazon Prime doing original content, Hulu, Netflix obviously, and Youtube Red that I know of. I assume there are probably others.

        1. So he’s working at Burger King
          Spitting on your onion rings
Or in the parking lot circling
          screaming i don’t give a fuck
with his windows down and the system up

          1. I just want the real Slim Shady to please stand up and put all of his fingers on each hand up, because the one that made Revival isn’t it.

        2. Thanks for telling me your life story there, professor. Does your dog make you sleep on the couch when he finds out you jack off the neighbor’s dog instead of him?

    2. Looks so wack. Battle rap is unbearable nowadays. Just multisyllabic nerd shit from dweebs who can’t make decent music

      1. Rap isn’t music fuck boy, it’s all about the clever use of words. Go listen to Dido or something like that, you apparently 40 year old woman who likes Drake more than Nas because Drake makes songs instead of writing bars.

      2. Uggh cringe worthy dizaster is one of those dudes who would love to be mistaken as black and then tell all his friends
