This past Art Basel bore witness to some amazing events and Barcadi, Swizz Beatz and The Dean Collection’s NO COMMISSION was no exception. The three-day, art and music extravaganza went down at Soho Studios in Wynwood and included tons of star power ranging from the Grammy Award-winning Voice judge Alicia Keys, Creed star Michael B. Jordan, former NBA star Amar’e Stoudemire, Kanye West’s creative visionary Virgil Abloh, Major Lazer’s Jillionaire and famed Hip Hop photographer Jonathan Mannion.
But most importantly the glitz of the event was only secondary to giving up-and-coming talents a platform to shine. All artists were given their exhibition space for free of charge and were able to retain 100 percent of the all the profits their work garnered.

“It’s amazing to celebrate our two-year anniversaries … in those two years, we’ve given back almost three million dollars back into artists pockets. A lot of artists that’s been with us have went on to do amazing amazing things,” Swizz said while still noting that many often return to participate in the program.
Elsewhere over the course of the event, Leikeli47 performed her hit “Money,” a special DJ set by Swizz Beatz, DJ Runna and Aine Zion and Brooklyn Museum Director Anne Pasternak moderated the “Future of Creativity” panel, which featured Abloh, Kimberly Drew, Nora Khan, Carmen Aguilar Y Wedge and the megastar producer.
The NO COMMISSION series recently capped off a global tour to Shanghai and Berlin that highlighted diversity, strength, and vitality throughout the Caribbean.
