Kanye West Performs For 1st Time Since Hospitalization

Kanye West performed for the first time in almost a year during a Kid Cudi concert on Saturday night (November 4). The surprise performance went down in his hometown of Chicago and found Ye delivering a live rendition of “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1” from 2016’s The Life of Pablo.

In August, Cudi and West headed to Japan, where they visited Takashi Murakami’s studio, the artist behind the cover of Ye’s Graduation album, kicking off rumors that a collaboration was on the way.

Other than a few other random sightings, West has been laying relatively low after what proved to be a trying past several months.

West was involuntarily hospitalized last November following a series of onstage rants, which included one in Sacramento, California, where he took a jab at JAY-Z and wife Beyonce. The incident came just days after a politically charged diatribe that found Ye endorsing Donald Trump for president.

The Watch The Throne rapper reportedly suffered from a “temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration.”

Fans were hoping West’s bars on CyHi The Prynce’s latest track, “Dat Side,” marked his comeback but the verses were actually recorded in 2016 — pre-hospitalization. But with this new development, West just might be ready to step back into the spotlight.

    1. It’s good to see such a talented individual going back to doing what he’s good at, but let’s be honest, the whole “hospital” thing was a publicity stunt . . .

      1. Bruh I swear I was thinking the same thing before I read your post lmao. That dude ain’t sick. He’s crazy, but not sick (insane)

      2. Wouldnt call it a publicity stunt. I would call it a “get out of jail free card” Move. He said a lot of things that backlashed like the trump thing or what he said about Jay and Bey. They tried to take the credibility out of his words for a short period by making him look unstable. It was Damage Control and now his stup*d brainwashed fanbase is s*cking his d*ck again.

      3. I don’t think it was publicity stunt. Being involuntarily forced into a hospital was probably a very scary, and real, experience for him. Psychosis is one of those things you can exaggerate, but doesn’t change the fact that it’s happening. He did some things publicly that indicate that his descent into madness was a slow one, which usually means a worse prognosis. I hope he comes out of it being the old Kanye we know and not the guy who endorsed Trump.

    2. Ever since Kayne got involved with that kardashian idiot, he lost his mind from being cucked. I miss the old Kayne.

      1. Back when he would have regular guest appearances on his albums from Mos Def, Talib Kweli, and Common.
Back when he actually wrote his own lyrics.

He turned into a gay fish.

    3. I had a psychotic break, and while I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, it was an experience unlike any other. I learned a lot from it, distilling truths from delusions. On the whole, having psychosis, and coming out of it, was a meaningful experience, and I hope Kanye has been inspired in a similar way, fueling a great album.
