XXXTENTACION finally has a court date at a Miami courthouse where he’ll face charges of aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness-tampering. According to Pitchfork, the polarizing rapper’s new court date is on December 11.
On September 28, a court spokesperson told Pitchfork that his original October 5 court date was delayed.
The alleged assault on his then-pregnant ex-girlfriend occurred in October 2016.

XXXTENTACION was scheduled to appear in a Miami, Florida courtroom on October 5 to face charges of domestic violence, but according to the Miami-Dade’s State Attorney office, the trial has been delayed. Pitchfork reached out to a court spokesperson who said no new trial date has been set, although the spokesperson confirmed the original trial date is still on the calendar.
The spokesperson also said, “The prosecutor is ready to go to trial at any point. I cannot speak for the defense counsel. However, at this point, the defense attorney has not yet made the defense witnesses available for us to depose. The defense attorney is now indicating he’s not free for the taking of the depositions until late October or early November,” seemingly pointing to a delay on X’s side.
In October 2016, X was charged with aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness-tampering. He pleaded no contest in March to separate charges of armed home invasion, robbery, and aggravated battery with a firearm and received six years of probation.
A scathing account of the alleged abuse he inflicted on his then-pregnant ex-girlfriend was released last month and painted a grim picture of what the woman claimed to have experienced at the hands of the accused. In response, X recorded a handful of videos scoffing at the allegations, saying, “Everybody that called me a domestic abuser, I’m finna domestically abuse your little sister’s pussy from the back.”
Florida is one of the few states that allows defense lawyers to conduct pretrial depositions of witnesses. X’s ex-girlfriend’s deposition and those of three other witnesses were a part of the process.
Following the release of his debut solo album, 17, last month, the controversial rapper emerged with a new look in a video he posted to social media. He shaved off his eyebrows and dyed his hair white, proclaiming, “Humans fear what they don’t understand. Always and forever.”

Sociopath stuff if we’re honest. Kid needs to figure out what his future is going to be because right now its headed toward a very grim outcome.
