Yo Gotti’s latest accomplishment has truly solidified his place as the King Of Memphis.
During a brief ceremony at his Yo Gotti & Friends Birthday Bash in his hometown last week, Gotti was awarded the key to Memphis. He was given a plaque by city officials to mark the occasion.
June 29 was also officially declared Yo Gotti Day in Memphis.
The “Down In The DM” rapper shared video of the milestone on his Instagram page, and provided the following caption:

Other past recipients of the key to Memphis include Master P and U.S. Chess Champion Grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura. Although Miami rapper Rick Ross doesn’t hail from Memphis or call the city home, he also received the key to Memphis back in 2014, during the grand opening of a new Wingstop in the city.
