While speaking with Dr. Siri Sat Nam Singh, a revelation was made onto Freddie Gibbs that part of him “has died” as he opened up about the sexual assault charges he was struck with last year, and the months-long, “traumatizing” ordeal that resulted.

The emotional conversation was conducted during the latest episode of Viceland’s“The Therapist.”

According to Gibbs, he was arrested in June 2016 after a woman who accompanied his associates back to their hotel after a tour stop in Austria, informed authorities that she “had a dream that Freddie Gibbs raped me too.”

“I was falsely accused of sexual assault…Some females had accompanied some of my associates back to the hotel and whatnot,” Freddie Gibbs said. “What type of sexual encounter or whatever it was, I didn’t know the details of it. I wasn’t in the room when anything took place. I do a show in Paris. And then the day after I go into my hotel room…The girl had changed her story and said that ‘I had a dream that Freddie Gibbs raped me too.’ They said ‘You facing 10 years.'”

The rapper spoke on being locked up with people with swastikas, being taunted by police, and fearing that he might not see his daughter until she was a teenager.

And after declaring that “This whole shit was racial,” Gibbs explained that the predicament left him angry and willing to give up his rap career indefinitely.

“A lot of this made me angry at the world,” he admitted. “It made me angry at Europeans in general for a minute. Angry at my friends. My job. Myself. I’m still not sure if I even wanna do this anymore…If doing this can put me in this position, I’m not sure if I wanna do it anymore.”

On September 30, 2016, Gibbs was acquited of all accusations against his character and returned to the United States shortly after.

In the ensuing months since the not guilty verdict, Gibbs dropped his You Only Live 2wice album, and apparently has fans hanging on to his every social media post in anticipation of more music.
